Operational Safety and Compliance:
Conduct flight operations in strict adherence to all Federal, State, Local, and international regulations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Maintain the organization’s corporate aircraft and facilities, ensuring compliance with all codes and regulatory requirements.
Leadership and Team Development:
Define and communicate individual performance metrics for team members.
Provide regular feedback, annual reviews, and career development opportunities for aviation department personnel.
Oversee and coordinate the training of aviation personnel in line with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company protocols.
Manuals and Standardization:
Develop and update departmental manuals outlining operational guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Set high standards for pilot staff and ensure consistent adherence to established policies.
Record Keeping and Administrative Oversight:
Manage aviation department records, ensuring compliance with FARs, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.
Assist in audits, technical evaluations, and the preparation of comprehensive reports.
Budgeting and Financial Planning:
Support departmental budgeting, planning, and financial monitoring to align with organizational objectives.
External Representation:
Act as a liaison between regulatory agencies, industry representatives, and other stakeholders on behalf of our Award-Winning Client.
Represent the company in professional associations, community organizations, and aviation bodies.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or Management from an accredited institution is required.
An associate degree with Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) certification may be considered equivalent.
Progress toward CAM certification is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years as Pilot in Command of multi-engine turbine aircraft in a crew environment is essential.
Licenses/Certifications:
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate ratings and endorsements.
FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operators Permit or higher.
Current Second-Class FAA Medical Certificate or higher.
Current Passport.
4,000 total flight hours, including:
2,000 hours PIC Turbine/ME
500 hours Make/Model
Technical Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and other regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in interpreting and managing aviation operations manuals and technical data.
Expertise in conducting audits and preparing detailed reports.
Management Experience: Required
