What Will You Be Doing?
Senior Manager of Maintenance Control has overall responsibility including staffing and budgeting requirements for the department. Serves as the senior level authority when making system operation decisions. Provides communication and coordination with Flight Dispatch, System Operations Control, Station Operations, Line and Heavy Maintenance, Inspection, Engineering, and Purchasing to ensure continued safety.
Essential Functions
Manage, monitor and coordinate SMS activities as directed. These duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinate the development, implementation, maintenance, and integration of the SMS throughout Frontier.
Identify hazards and safety risk assessments including change management.
Ensure effectiveness of safety risk control.
Promote safety and maintain a high degree of integrity by demonstrating responsibility for situational response using workplace norms.
Advise the accountable executive on the performance of the SMS and on any need for improvement.
Accountable for achieving safety performance relative to job tasks and maintaining a continuous high degree of engagement during and after normal work hours.
Manage risk acceptable level: blue or lower as defined by Frontier’s company risk matrix.
Manage the daily activities of MCC, ensuring continual safe aircraft for scheduled service. This includes ensuring a seamless transition of all personnel and shifts and continuous briefing of daily fleet-wide mechanical status to the Director, Maintenance Control, and senior management members.
Develop the knowledge, skills, capabilities, capacities, proficiencies, and workflows best practices of self and assigned personnel to drive business results.
Develop and aggregate broad knowledge of all airline operational teams.
Participate in strategic planning and lead the implementation of long-term objectives.
Provide technical assistance and guidance to Line Maintenance (including Contract Maintenance), RON Maintenance, and Heavy Check Maintenance personnel and detail required maintenance actions to repair aircraft discrepancies.
Develop and maintain deep understandings and awareness of how this role, the Controller role, and the department affect the customer experience with subordinate staff.
Continually design and implement plans to reduce delays and cancellations, take appropriate risks within the blue and green category, and innovate change in the face of opportunity to the status quo.
Create and administer work schedules, performance objectives/goals, and training for MCC personnel and Technical Services personnel. Monitor and create pay recap sheets to include vacation and sick time.
Single source contact for the Director, Maintenance Control and senior management.
Efficiently manage all required audits and internal self-audits are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Efficiently identify root causes and implement mitigating actions for any inspection findings or CARs for assigned areas.
Ensure the quality of the operational MEL/CDL/NEF Program processes.
Efficiently manage the auditing process of all completed work packages, ensuring the consistently accurate and compliant documentation of all work performed.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all assigned work documents and records.
Participate in CASS, Reliability Board, GMM, and Action Item meetings.

Vol.D In departments without supervisors, ensure that personnel within the department including themselves have current training and qualifications to perform assigned tasks.
Authority
Authority to stop or ground aircraft when deemed necessary
Makes major financial decisions regarding parts, service, logistics, and contracts as needed.
Qualifications
FAA-certificated mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
Five years of combined heavy and line maintenance and maintenance control experience
Five years of supervisory/management experience in a maintenance operations environment
Attainment of four-year college degree (Preferred)
FCC Radio license (Preferred)
Must have the ability to plan, organize, and administrate workloads to subordinates
VDRP Must attend and successfully complete Maintenance Training Required Inspection Item course VDRP
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of Airbus aircraft
Proven leadership & motivational skills
Excellent knowledge of Maintenance operations
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with other departments
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work under stressful situations
Working knowledge of MS software including Word, Excel & Access
Ability to collect data, act as expert for technical content & logically organize information for publication

Vol.D Must attend and successfully complete Maintenance Training Required Inspection Item course

Salary Range: $110,114-$146,157
Signing Bonus: Full time new hires who start 1/15/2025 through 3/31/2025 will be eligible for a signing bonus of $15,000 after (90) days of employment (minus applicable taxes and withholdings). You agree that if you voluntarily end your employment with [Company], Inc. or are terminated for cause within twelve (12) months of your start date, you will repay a pro-rate share of the signing bonus for – 1/12 of the total bonus amount per month remaining in the term.
