Conduct initial operating experience (IOE) training for new hire pilots, fleet transition pilots, and captain upgrade candidates. Perform special qualification training at fields with threats such as high terrain/elevation and complex engine out escape profiles. Perform line checks, evaluating compliance with SOPs and CRM standards. Lead debriefings comprised of actionable feedback.

Safely and efficiently operate domestic and international flights, transporting passengers and cargo under FAR Part 121. Participate in pre-flight ETOPS briefings with Dispatch to verify planning details such as decision points and enroute alternates. Lead comprehensive briefings for crews of up to 15 personnel, focusing on ride conditions, flight times, and security concerns. Ensure adherence to FAR Part 117 rest requirements. Delegate PIC responsibilities to a relief pilot during rest periods.

Served as Second in Command while assisting the captain in all aspects of domestic and international flight operations. Performed pre-flight inspections, initial flight deck set up, programmed the FMC, and calculated/verified performance data. As an international relief pilot, assumed PIC duties during oceanic crossings. Monitored fuel burns and made position reports. Developed proficiency in non-radar and Class II Nav environments, utilizing HF radio to make position reports/ATC requests.

Flew passengers throughout Florida and the Bahamas, operating scheduled FAR Part 135 on a non-flight attendant aircraft.

Assisted the captain with FAR Part 121 flight duties (on the Saab SF340) prior to upgrade.

Responsible for coordinating equipment, supplies, and services for large-scale training exercises attended by 100+ personnel. Trained in emergency procedures, aircraft systems, and AV-8 hover operations prior to transitioning out of flight operations. Earned a Letter of Superior Performance and graduated in the top 1/3 of Basic Jet Training prior to Advanced Jet Training. Graduated in the top 5% of 900 students in Primary Flight Training, earning a spot on the Commodore’s List with Distinction.
