Personal Interests
I am a CFI/CFII eager to progress in my career as a pilot. In my first career as a physical therapist, I enjoy helping patients achieve their mobility goals. My lifelong passion for aviation has driven me to also pursue becoming a pilot and an instructor. Patient care skills developed over fifteen years have translated to helping students succeed in their aviation goals. Since earning my flight instructor certificate, I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing my love of flying with others, helping students learn, and ultimately improving my own skills as an aviator and educator. Perhaps my favorite instructional moments have been some recent long cross-country flights, traversing several states. My students and I gained valuable experience while handling changing weather patterns, managing varying terrain, and navigating unfamiliar geographical areas. Moreover, I achieved the pinnacle of flight instruction by recently earning my Gold Seal Flight Instructor certificate! Attention to detail is of utmost importance in aviation. As a pilot and instructor, I emphasize thorough preflight inspections, checklist usage during all phases of flight, standard callouts, and utilization of systematic aeronautical decision making. Additionally, my own flying skills, understanding of all aspects of aviation, and focus on ensuring the highest level of safety have all been fortified through providing flight training. Unwavering commitment to safety and adherence to best practices are critical aspects of my roles, both as physical therapist and as aviator. Transitioning to a new professional flying role will continue to build my expertise and advance my aviation career. I look forward to new learning opportunities and to facing upcoming challenges. Thank you in advance for your consideration!
