Conducted passenger and cargo operations in domestic and international environments aboard the DC-8. Built forty long-range and worldwide airline operating experience.

Served in passenger and cargo operations using light twin-engine aircraft and gained SIC operating experience in Learjet 23 and Learjet 24 aircraft. Managed changing weather, schedules, customer requirements, and the practical demands of smaller-aircraft commercial operations.

Conducted episodic specialty flight operations while maintaining aircraft control, situational awareness, and close coordination with ground and airborne personnel.

Provided primary and advanced flight instruction, helping students develop sound flying skills, judgment, and disciplined operating habits.

Completed nearly four decades of domestic and international airline service, including command on wide-body and narrow-body aircraft. Operated Boeing 747, 757, 767, 777, and 787 aircraft and the DC-10 in complex worldwide operations. Accumulated extensive long-haul experience between San Francisco and destinations throughout Asia, including Hong Kong and Mainland China. Led crews through normal, abnormal, and emergency operations using disciplined judgment and Crew Resource Management. Mentored pilots and participated in captain-development training; completed initial captain training as both a captain candidate and later as a mentor. Flew significant cargo operations during the COVID period, supporting transportation of critical supplies.
