Independent Flight Instruction
- Pilot Consciousness & Accountability: Mentor certificated flight instructors in developing internal Just Culture accountability—building the discipline to accurately identify personal error chains and decision biases, and aligning individual conduct with high-reliability safety standards. - Audit-Based Operational Integrity: Apply an audit-driven decision-making framework that structures every flight phase as a defensible, risk-managed sequence—ensuring safety margins are actively maintained at every stage of operations. - Sustainable Aviator Development: Facilitate career-length operational mastery in working flight instructors, emphasizing proactive threat identification, cognitive bandwidth management, and criteria-based condition assessment as a foundation for the students they themselves go on to train.
Instructor Pilot
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
- Provide Part 141 flight/ground instruction for civilian and military IPT students in compliance with FAA and TCO standards. - Conduct VFR/IFR training focused on energy management, aircraft systems, and decision-making in high-workload environments. - Collaborate with Safety & Standards on incident reporting, curriculum development, and aircraft standardization materials.

Personal Interests
I’ve always believed in living life full size. I grew up around people who built massive enterprises from the ground up—spending time with founders and executives was just my normal—so I’m entirely comfortable in rooms where the stakes are high, as long as mutual respect is a given. I don't flinch at the big stuff; I just expect things to be done right. If you catch me off the clock, I’m usually surrounded by things that require intention and craft. I shoot with a Hasselblad X2D on a fixed 43mm lens because it forces me to physically engage with the scene instead of just zooming in. I like to spend time in my woodworking shop, I appreciate the timelessness of a fine mechanical watch or fountain pen, and I love the mid-engine balance of a Cayman. I’m also a massive motorsport fan—specifically F1 and IndyCar—because I respect anything where the outcomes are purely deterministic. There's no hiding in racing; it either works perfectly, or it doesn't. I tend to apply that same logic to my own life, whether that means taking apart an espresso machine to rewire the internals for a better pull, or keeping my own engine running cleanly with a strict keto and fasting routine so I stay sharp. Ultimately, I’m confident, a bit competitive when it counts, and I gravitate toward good design, good food, and people who value quality as much as I do.
