Upgraded to MD 80 captain in the spring of 2002. Transitioned to the new Airbus fleet in 2005. Learned the importance of standard operating procedures and crew resource management, focusing on safety and efficiency for the flying public and the employer.

Hired by US Check, a part 135 freight company operating under the call sign 'Starcheck,' flying planes full of cancelled checks. Later, US Check became Airnet Systems. Gained over 9000 hours flying aircraft including Cessna 310R, Aerostar, Baron 58, Navajo Chieftain, Lear 25, and Lear 35.
