Ross Biechler

Directs execution of global air mobility operations at the Department of Defense's largest air operations center, synchronizing worldwide airlift and air refueling missions.

Led flying operations for the Air Force's only special operations wing in the Indo-Pacific, overseeing MC-130J aircrew training, standardization, and mission execution across the theater. Requalified as MC-130J pilot; completed the USAF Safety and Accident Investigation Board President Course, deepening flight-safety and mishap-prevention expertise.

Directed air component strategy and operational planning for Northeast Asia; graduate, Joint Air Operations Planning Course; applied regional and Korean-language expertise as an Air Force Foreign Area Officer.

Competitively selected fellowship: earned M.A. in National Security Studies and achieved professional proficiency in Korean.

Evaluator and instructor pilot administering checkrides and upgrade training; served as Deputy Chief of Group Standardization/Evaluation, Flight Commander, and Group Executive Officer. Flew combat and contingency missions across Europe and Africa; awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement in aerial flight (2017).

Commanded MC-130H combat aircrews in the Pacific; planned and executed the squadron flying schedule; combat deployment in support of overseas contingency operations (2011).
