Built a referral-driven Part 91 contract aviation business serving 17 clients, including 5 recurring customers, with new work generated primarily through word-of-mouth recommendations. Provide contract PIC services in Hawker 800XP/900XP aircraft, integrating into varied flight departments and adapting quickly across differing avionics configurations and operating practices. Perform specialized post-maintenance Hawker stall test flights, providing technical flight support beyond traditional contract captain services. Expanded services to include flight department management consulting, advising Part 91 operators on regulatory requirements, letters of authorization, operational approvals, avionics, and maintenance questions. Earn repeat business through dependable and friendly service with owners, passengers, line crew, and flight department teams.

Built the flight department from the ground up, working with the FAA to establish operating requirements and developing SOPs and checklists around the company’s mission profile. Lead a 3-pilot operation with 2 primary pilots, balancing approximately 60% department-management responsibilities with 40% flying and averaging around 250 flight hours annually. Own department budgeting, financial administration, and maintenance coordination, including hiring the Director of Maintenance and relocating the operation to a more cost-effective airport. Earn repeat requests from high-profile owners and passengers, exercising discretion and delivering calm, personalized service. Support recurring Part 91 travel to Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas, managing trip logistics and arranging alternate transportation when necessary, including coordinating a charter flight from St. Barths during a Venezuela airspace shutdown.

Served as a single-pilot-qualified Part 135 Captain in a large charter and aircraft management operation, supporting owner and family travel. Recruited by the owner to transition from the management company into a corporate flight-department role with NORCOM.
