Work Experience
Airbus Ground School Instructor
Flight Training International
As an Airbus A320 Family Ground School Instructor for Flight Training International, I provide systems, procedures, and operational instruction to pilots undergoing initial, transition, upgrade, and recurrent training on the Airbus A319, A320, and A321. I deliver classroom-based instruction on aircraft systems, limitations, normal and abnormal procedures, performance, automation, and company standard operating procedures in both Part 121 and Part 91/135 training environments. I facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions designed to help pilots understand not only how Airbus systems function, but also how they apply in real-world operational scenarios. My instruction emphasizes safety, SOP compliance, crew resource management, and practical application of aircraft knowledge to improve pilot decision-making and operational readiness. In addition to classroom instruction, I support the development and refinement of training materials, lesson plans, presentations, and evaluation tools to ensure content remains accurate, current, and aligned with FAA requirements, manufacturer guidance, and customer-specific procedures. I also work closely with simulator instructors, curriculum teams, and training management to ensure a consistent and effective learning experience for pilots across all stages of training.
Vice-President
Denver Flyers (501c3)
As Vice President of Denver Flyers, I oversee day-to-day operations for one of Colorado’s largest flying clubs, managing aircraft, maintenance, instruction standards, membership coordination, and operational planning. My role requires balancing safety, regulatory compliance, customer service, and fleet utilization to ensure the club operates efficiently and provides a high-quality experience for members. As Aircraft Manager, I oversee fleet scheduling, aircraft availability, aircraft records, and operational readiness for a diverse fleet of training and cross-country aircraft. I work closely with members, instructors, and maintenance providers to minimize downtime and ensure aircraft are properly equipped, cleaned, and prepared for safe operation. As Maintenance Manager, I coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, airworthiness compliance, discrepancy tracking, and vendor relationships. I ensure all aircraft maintenance records are accurate and up to date, manage maintenance planning to reduce aircraft downtime, and work directly with mechanics to prioritize safety, reliability, and cost-effective fleet management. As Chief Flight Instructor, I establish and maintain instructional standards for club instructors, oversee checkout procedures, flight reviews, and aircraft-specific training, and ensure training aligns with FAA regulations and club policies. I also mentor instructors, develop training materials, and help maintain a culture focused on safety, professionalism, and consistent instruction quality. As Membership Manager, I assist with recruiting, onboarding, and retaining club members by conducting membership interviews, explaining club policies and procedures, coordinating orientation and checkout requirements, and serving as a primary point of contact for member questions and concerns. I work to foster a welcoming and professional environment while supporting the continued growth and success of the club.
Fleet Technical Instructor, SME, QCO
United Airlines
As a Fleet Technical Instructor for United Airlines, I deliver classroom-based instruction on Airbus aircraft systems, standard operating procedures, company policies, and operational best practices to pilots transitioning into or upgrading within the fleet. I facilitate both initial and recurrent training in a fast-paced Part 121 training environment, ensuring pilots develop a strong understanding of aircraft systems, normal and abnormal procedures, and real-world operational application. In addition to instructional duties, I serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for supporting curriculum development, revising lesson plans, validating technical content, and ensuring training materials remain aligned with company procedures, manufacturer guidance, and FAA requirements. I regularly collaborate with instructors, management, and curriculum teams to improve the quality and effectiveness of training programs. As a Qual Check Observer (QCO), I observe and evaluate instructors to ensure training delivery is standardized, accurate, and compliant with company and regulatory standards. This includes providing detailed feedback, mentoring new instructors, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping maintain a consistent, high-quality learning environment across the fleet.
