Assists the Captain with ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. Exercise responsibilities in a manner that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and mentorship. Supports the Captain in complying with company SOP's and applicable regulations while operating in domestic and international airspace. Exchanges information, ideas, and instructions in a timely manner. Effectively manage tasks to optimize overall performance. Incorporates relevant information, develops operational strategies and chooses the best course of action consistent with safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the aircraft. Facilitates Threat and Error Management, guaranteeing the continual safety of all crew members and passengers. Ensures the transportation of customers through dynamic and congested airspace, prioritizing efficiency and safety throughout each flight.

Responsible for the education and development of aspiring aviators, mentoring them through their private pilot, instrument rating, and commercial pilot certifications. Conducts instruction under FAR Part 61, adapting and tailoring the syllabus to meet student requirements, prioritizing their growth and safety throughout all operations. Leads airborne flight training sessions, instructing students on applicable ground knowledge necessary to meet and exceed FAA Airmen Certification Standards for each level of certification. Establishes baseline knowledge necessary for safe flightline operations, providing primers on each aircraft and appropriate ground procedures. Provides outstanding instruction.

Instructs students pursuing certification in private, commercial, and instrument qualifications under FAR Part 141. Responsible for leading students through Cross-Country Lab, ensuring their ability and knowledge to conduct cross-country operations and manage real-time contingencies. Mentors numerous pilots with various levels of qualifications and experience while providing recurrency, flight reviews, and instrument proficiency instruction. Provides guidance and recommendations for training progression and endorses students for check rides. Ensures compliance with FARs and applicable SOPs while guaranteeing a safe and efficient training environment. Continuously adapts student training to maximize progression while upholding the highest levels of safety. Schedules check rides with both designated pilot examiners and FAA examiners. Provides students with instruction on the fundamentals of aviation, aerodynamics, instrument navigation, and understanding the FARs. Mentors students on safe decision making, risk management, crew resource management, and error prevention.
