Regional command of an array of fire stations with responsibility for supervising 911- fire/rescue response, emergency mitigation, fire prevention, fire suppression training, and pre-suppression activities. Responsibility for the integrity, coordination, and performance of teams of firefighting resources across a regional geographic area. Respond to and mitigate life-safety emergencies through responsive and effective management of fire suppression, emergency medical, rescue, hazardous materials, and related resources. Crew resource management, risk analysis, contingency and emergency planning. Develop, implement, budget for, monitor and evaluate programs to enhance operational effectiveness. Specific programs include mobile and portable radio communications platforms and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). Typical daily management of seven direct report company officers and more than 50 line personnel. Observe and report on performance and potential of subordinates. Develop, mentor and coach company officers in strategies and tactics as well as human relations and leadership.

While assigned to the Training Section, coordinated all aspects and provided administrative oversight of pre-hospital advanced life support emergency medical services delivery though 16 Fire Stations, 60 Paramedics and 200 EMTs. Supply ordering and inventory management, equipment procurement and maintenance, oversight of controlled substance security program.

With knowledge of fire prevention and fire suppression methods, county and state laws and regulations, responded to fire and other emergency incidents by driving fire apparatus and operated, serviced, and maintained pumping apparatus and other firefighting equipment.

Provided comprehensive emergency response services, encompassing all hazards, including suppression of structural and wildland fires, medical emergencies, hazardous conditions, and other emergency and public service incidents.
