Adam Kohne

As the lead Captain of the account, I am ultimately responsible for the safe, timely, and professional operation of the aircraft within all applicable domestic and international regulations and guidelines. Additionally, I mentor the other crewmembers, coordinate with maintenance for the scheduling and reporting of maintenance tasks, improve the appearance of the aircraft, and lead safety initiatives within the company's safety programs.

Flew for two years as a First Officer and over thirteen years as a Captain on the ERJ-135/145 series aircraft, conducting over 5000 safe flights for the Continental Express and United Express brands. Responsible for the safety and comfort of the passengers, the mentoring of the other crewmembers, the security responsibilities in the dynamic Part 121 environment, and the positive development of the airline brand.

Responsible for supporting the Captain primarily with pre-flight planning, aircraft preparation, customer service and baggage loading, in the conducting of over 500 safe flights under the USAirways Express brand.

Created, developed, taught, organized, and managed the original Airline Transition Course offered at Regional Airline Academy which students would complete to be eligible for employment at Colgan Air.

Completed a successful Co-op between Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Atlantic Coast Airlines where I worked across multiple departments within the company to learn about airline operations. Worked outside in ramp operations at the Washington Dulles Airport and finished the program working for the Chief Pilot in preparation to become First Officers with the airline.

Teaching basic flight instruction, as well as multi-engine instruction. Led all instructors in multi-engine flight instruction hours during the time that I was employed at the school.

Completed a successful Co-op between Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and American Airlines where I worked in Flight Operations-Technical to learn about airline operations and prepare for employment as a First Officer. Conducted field testing and data submission on Boeing 757 aircraft in-flight, as part of the airline's successful Pacific RVSM certification. Was part of the Go-Team that took delivery of new Boeing 777 aircraft from the Boeing factory for delivery back to American Airlines.
