Flew as single pilot, utilizing TEM skills to safely conduct low level operations (800 – 1,000 feet AGL) under FAR Part 91. Studied weather reports, utilizing clear go/no-go decision criteria to facilitate safe outcomes in rapidly changing conditions. Completed visual inspections of up to 800 miles of pipeline/day, documenting unauthorized activity, anomalies, and leaks. Utilized multiple software/flight planning tools such as Foreflight and Google Earth to accurately report anomaly locations. Coordinated with maintenance personnel to schedule required service/inspections with minimal flight schedule disruptions.

Strategically planned and executed forest fuel reduction projects, contributing to increased safety in the wildland-urban interface. Reduced forest fuel loads and wildfire risk via strategic thinning, underbrush removal, and vegetation modification. Interpreted NRCS prescriptions regarding ecology, land use, and historical data to develop and implement project-specific plans. Transparently communicated with land owners to establish land use goals and develop plans beneficial to the land and the client. Developed project plans with consideration of land slope, future infrastructure plans, and awareness of culturally sensitive sites.

Designed recreational therapy retreats for wounded veterans and families, facilitating mentorship and counseling opportunities. Created safe opportunities for participants to build camaraderie and enable positive communication/ behavior modification. Scouted retreat locations, developed and maintained relationships with recreational guides, and created diverse itineraries. Led care package drives, planned troop appreciation dinners, and assisted in easing the transition from military to civilian life.

Served as a combat medic, providing emergency medical care, limited primary care, and battlefield evacuation for soldiers. Deployed to Iraq (2008), and Afghanistan (2010 – 2011), working in mobile army surgical hospitals and remote clinics. Coordinated with a team of three personnel to provide first responder and frontline care to wounded personnel in combat zones. Advised Army leadership of personnel treatment and medical needs, acting as a patient advocate and enabling higher level care.
