Salary:
$1,000 per day (King Air) & $1,300 per day (XLS) - these are wage positions - only paid when utilized.
Job Description Summary:
Perform duties of co-pilot in a safe and efficient manner. Assists the pilot-in-command and assistant director as required.
Responsibilities:
- Performs duties as co-pilot in a safe and efficient manner, assisting the pilot-in-command.
- Assists the pilot-in-command performing preflight inspection at least one hour prior to scheduled departure, including, but not limited to, checking existing and forecasted weather conditions for the flight, checking weight and balance for the expected passenger/baggage load, and determining aircraft performance based on anticipated conditions to ensure the necessary margin of safety.
- Assists the pilot-in-command in maintaining a record of required maintenance action.
- Assists the pilot-in-command in filing flight plans with reference to information provided by the Regional Flight Director and Chief Pilot.
- Assists the pilot-in-command in documenting all items necessary for billing of services and for maintaining a continuing record of aircraft historical data at the conclusion of each flight.
- Assists the pilot-in-command in recording any mechanical discrepancies for future maintenance action; secures the aircraft.
- Assists the pilot-in-command in maintaining and updates aircraft and navigation documents.
- Checks passenger manifest in flight to ensure it is complete and accurate.
- Inspects, cleans and prepares aircraft at conclusion of each flight.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma.
- Documented minimum of 500 hours flight time of which 100 hours must be pilot-in-command and 200 hours multi-engine flight time.
Registration, Certifications, and Licenses:
- Commercial pilot certificate with appropriate ratings for equipment flown; multi-engine and instrument ratings; current Federal Aviation Administration Second Class Medical Certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Passenger handling experience, use of tact, diplomacy and courtesy.
- Willing to work extended duty days to include overnight stays, weekends and holidays.
