Open Position: Chief Pilot
Location: Sandpoint, Idaho
Type: Full-Time, Leadership (Flight Ops)
[Company] (THI) is a heavy lift utility helicopter company based in Sandpoint, Idaho. We operate K-max and UH-60 helicopters specializing in utility, construction, firefighting, and logging. We’re a team of highly experienced professionals with the ability to get work done and we’re looking for a Chief Pilot with the experience necessary to compliment our operations, culture, and to lead our flight ops department.
What You’ll Do?
Lead & Mentor our cadre of professional pilots—maintain pilot records and training and ensure pilots are trained and qualified to conduct operations.
Own Safety by championing our SMS, partnering with the Director of Safety, and modeling sound risk-management.
Oversee Flight Operations by coordinating missions, scheduling aircraft and pilots, communicate with customers, and help keep the ops machine well oiled.
Our Chief Pilot is a flying positions—you’ll stay in the seat and current in our operations.
What We’re Looking For?
Commercial Helicopter Pilot with extensive external load experience
UH-60 or K-Max experience
Part 133/137 external-load and USFS contract experience
Strong leadership, record-keeping, and pilot compliance track record
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
