Reports to: VP, Marketing & Customer Engagement, Sales & Marketing Position Overview: The Communications Specialist will assist the VP, Marketing with communications programs and initiatives that support the overall corporate and department goals and objectives. Summary of Responsibilities: •Craft engaging communications and content including but not limited to: internal communications, Press releases, website blogs, white papers, social media postings, •Manage all social media platforms. Assist in developing the Company-wide policy with respect to Social media. •Manage the process of issuing Press Releases and follow-up. Maintain the media database. •Manage internal/external events and sponsorship participation •Plan pre-and post-communications initiatives that support the Companies trade show participation •Develop powerpoint presentations for both internal and external use •Coordinate internal communications events •Ensure consistency across all communications channels in messaging and adhere to the Skyservice brand guidelines •Plan and execute on new communications initiatives as required Qualifications: •5-7 years’ experience in a similar role •Digital communications experience (web, social) •Previous experience in managing communications as it relates to trade show participation •Seasoned communicator with excellent writing skills •Above average user of powerpoint •A confident self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and develop relationships while working independently and confidently •Dead-line driven and meticulous attention to details •Proven ability to take initiative, be flexible and creative in managing complex situations •Ability to adapt to change easily •Always looking to improve efficiencies and embrace change Education: Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in PR, or Corporate Communications or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
