The Assistant Director of Maintenance is responsible for helping the Director of Maintenance coordinate, plan, and oversee all maintenance activities of the aircraft managed by [Company] while maintaining a positive and productive relationship with [Company]’s employees, vendors, and clients by personally performing these duties or through subordinate staff members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management)
Coordinate with [Company] Flight Operations personnel to ensure that the goals and objectives relating to all maintenance operations are achieved and carried out in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
Coordinates the scheduling of maintenance with [Company] Flight Operations and [Company] 135 Maintenance personnel
Coordinates and oversees maintenance performed by outside contractors in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
Ensures that all inspections to company aircraft are accomplished properly and that all maintenance records are completed prior to approving any aircraft for return to service
Communicating and updating in a timely manner all information relating to the airworthiness of all [Company] 135 certificated aircraft including forecasting downtimes to facilitate scheduling and ensure timely deferral or correction of aircraft discrepancies
Maintains and is responsible for all training of maintenance personnel acting on behalf of, and under [Company]’s 135 Certificate
Submits all required reports, permits, and forms to the appropriate regulatory or company authority, including but not limited to MIS and SDR reports, Special Flight Permits, etc.
Responsible for [Company]’s RVSM Maintenance Program and for [Company]’s CASS System
Maintains a close, productive, and beneficial relationship with manufacturer’s representatives, repair facilities, and the FAA
Ensures the safety and quality of all assigned duties and responsibilities by actively and positively participating in [Company]’s SQMS program
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid A&P License
Must have at least 10 years of experience in aviation maintenance, preferably corporate
Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high stress, fast paced environment
Must be a highly motivated and organized
Must be computer proficient (MS Office, FOS, AvTrak, CMP, Corridor)
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, kneel, squat, and stand for extended periods
Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the year
Must fulfill all requirements listed in CFR 119.71(e)
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Highly Desirable
135 Maintenance Experience
Gulfstream, Cessna, Embraer, and Bombardier factory training
College degree preferred
Other
This position is a DOT Safety Sensitive position which will require placement in a random drug test pool
Assistant Director of Maintenance performs on-call duties and will require the candidate to work nights, weekends, and holidays
