As a Legacy crew member, the Global First Officer supports the Captain(s) in the operation of Planet 9’s floating fleet of Global aircraft. This full-time role is essential to executing international and ultra-long-range charter flights with precision, safety, and professionalism. Operating under both Part 91 and Part 135, the First Officer contributes to a highly collaborative flight deck environment, maintains operational compliance, and delivers a refined onboard experience for Planet 9 clients. The standard Legacy Pilot schedule will be 16 days on (position days included on first and last day), followed by 14 days off.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as Second-in-Command (SIC) on assigned Global aircraft
Support the designated PIC(s) in executing safe, compliance, and efficient flight operations while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.
Demonstrate teamwork by actively participating in CRM, communication, and workload sharing throughout all phases of flight
Contribute to accurate preflight planning, including fuel, weight and balance, performance, and international considerations.
Maintain a high level of integrity by adhering to Planet 9’s SOPs, FAA regulations, and all company policies.
Support excellence in service delivery by assisting in pre- and post-flight duties, passenger interactions, and ensuring the aircraft is prepared to Planet 9 standards
Coordinate with the designated PIC(s), Inflight, and Operations teams to ensure efficient operations and elevated client experiences
Remain current in all training and regulatory requirements showing commitment to personal and organizational growth
Uphold Planet 9’s culture of safety through risk mitigation, checklist discipline, and procedural compliance
Adhere to Planet Nine’s operational policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards by completing required training and maintaining compliance across all assigned duties
Adapt to evolving priorities by performing additional tasks or projects as needed to support team and organizational goals
Skills and Qualifications
FAA ATP Certificate
FAA First Class Medical Certificate
BD700 Type Rating – Preferred
Valid passport and ability to travel unrestricted internationally
Must pass DOT/FAA drug screening, TSA background check, and meet Wyvern Wingman standards
Completed COVID-19 vaccination required prior to training

Education & Experience
College degree preferred
Part 135 experience preferred
Completion and maintenance of all Planet 9 training requirements in accordance with FAA Part 135 regulations

Travel Requirements
Extensive international travel required
