The pilot's primary responsibility is providing for the safe transportation of company employees, their guests, and cargo aboard company operated aircraft.
Act as PIC (Pilot in Command) in trip preparation and the operation of the aircraft.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills at all times in all environments.
Communicate easily and professionally with company personnel at all levels including executive management.
Understand role within the company and know when to direct advanced communications to department management.
Supervise the flight crew and ensure that all flight and ground operations comply with FAA Regulations.
Actively participate in the department Safety Management System (SMS). Demonstrate advanced participation in such programs via SMS leadership role (i.e., Aviation Department Safety Officer).
Routinely exhibit judgment and decision-making skills that are on an elite level.
Understand the importance of continuous education and welcome the opportunity to teach and learn from others. Demonstrate advanced participation in such programs via training leadership role (i.e., Aviation Department Training Officer).
Other duties assigned by the Chief Pilot.
Ability to complete a 14 CFR 61.58 Pilot in Command proficiency check on company operated aircraft.
Possess excellent interpersonal and cognitive skills.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Extensive experience working in a crew environment and fully understand the challenges of the cockpit.
Demonstrates advanced level Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills. Ability to understand the personalities of co-workers and find ways to best utilize their individual skill sets.
Employ mitigation strategies on a regular basis to alleviate pressure and stress. Ability to manage stress is noticed by co-workers and passengers alike.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Has extensive operational experience as a Pilot in Command (PIC) engaged in worldwide flight operations.
Holds Type Ratings in ALL company operated aircraft and is deemed a knowledge expert in those aircraft.
Possesses an experience level greater than the āadvancedā candidate with emphasis placed on total operational experience.
5,000 total flight hours.
2000 hours in turbojets.
Completion of numerous initial and recurrent aircraft specific training programs designed specifically for corporate flight department operations.
Has completed other advanced airmanship training programs that are non-aircraft specific.
Hold an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with unrestricted multi-engine rating or ability to obtain ATP with unrestricted multi-engine rating or equivalent U.S. Military Ratings
Instrument rating valid for category and class of company operated aircraft or equivalent U.S. Military Ratings
Hold an FCC Radio License
Current FAA First Class Medical
English language proficiency.
Valid passport allowing entry and exit of destinations where company flies.
