Position Overview
On behalf of our external client, we are seeking an experienced and professional Citation XLS Captain / Pilot in Command (PIC) to join their Part 135 flight operation. The ideal candidate is a safety-focused aviation professional with strong leadership skills, excellent CRM, sound aeronautical decision-making, and a commitment to providing a first-class passenger experience.
As PIC, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Citation XLS in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, company policies, and operational procedures. Commutable-Central/Eastern Time zone preferred.
Responsibilities
Serve as Pilot in Command of Citation XLS flights operated under FAR Part 135.
Exercise sound judgment and maintain the highest standards of flight safety.
Conduct thorough flight planning, weather evaluation, aircraft inspections, and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company manuals, Op Specs, and applicable procedures.
Lead and maintain effective Crew Resource Management (CRM).
Coordinate with Dispatch, Maintenance, Operations, and other company personnel.
Complete required aircraft, flight, and safety documentation accurately and on time.
Maintain a professional and customer-focused relationship with passengers and company representatives.
Participate in recurrent training, proficiency checks, safety meetings, and company programs as required.
Support a culture of safety, professionalism, accountability, and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
Appropriate FAA medical certificate.
Citation XLS/XLS+ PIC type rating
Meets applicable 14 CFR Part 135 PIC experience and qualification requirements.
Meets all applicable FAA currency, training, and checking requirements.
Strong knowledge of IFR operations, weather, flight planning, and applicable Part 135 regulations.
Excellent communication, CRM, and decision-making skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work a variable schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overnight trips as operationally required.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Part 135 PIC experience.
Citation XLS/XLS+ experience.
Previous experience in a corporate or charter aviation environment.
3,000+ hours total flight time.
1000+ hours of turbine time.
1000+ Multiengine
250+ hours time in type
Previous experience operating under an FAA Part 135 certificate.
Compensation Data
The anticipated salary range for this position is 145,000 to $155,000. Please note that this range is not a guaranteed offer of compensation. The final salary will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, geographic location, and other relevant considerations.
