[Company], Inc. is seeking an experienced aviation professional to serve as Assistant Director of Operations. This role supports the Director of Operations in overseeing day-to-day flight operations while ensuring strict compliance with 14 CFR Part 135, Part 91, and contract operations. The Assistant Director plays a key role in operational control, regulatory adherence, and the safe execution of company flight activities. This is a safety-sensitive leadership position and may act on behalf of the Director of Operations when delegated.
Key Responsibilities
- Support compliance with FAA regulations and company OpSpecs
- Assist with SOP development and implementation
- Coordinate crew scheduling and duty time compliance
- Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Assist with FAA OpSpecs and Foreign Operating Certificates
- Maintain operational manuals and documentation
- Issue operational notices to crews when delegated
- Evaluate operational suitability of airports and routes
- Support flight planning and rostering
- Assist with budgeting and operational forecasting
- Participate in incident and accident reporting
- Supervise designated operational staff as assigned
Required Qualifications
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate (ATP preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in flight operations or aviation management
- Part 135 experience preferred
- Strong regulatory and operational knowledge
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel on short notice
