How does hiring work?
Stage 1: Apply
Applicants who meet the requirements and are selected to advance will receive an email to provide a PDF resume and cover letter, and schedule a phone screening. Applicants who pass phone screening will be asked to submit copies of certifications and logbooks prior to moving on to Stage 2.
Stage 2: Video Interview
This Zoom call will be the interview. Expect questions in regards to your resume, cover letter, your work history, along with technical and scenario based questions. Be familiar with the type of aircraft Northwoods operates.
Stage 3: Conditional Job Offer
At this stage, we have completed the selection process, and you will receive documentation to complete a background check. Your conditional job offer will note details for the position, along with timelines and any necessary steps required from you. This CJO is contingent upon completion of all stages.
Stage 4: Simulator Evaluation and Training
Once all prior stages are completed satisfactorily, pilots holding CJOs will come to Old Town, Maine, where they will complete a simulator evaluation in a full motion Redbird FMX to check basic flying skills and cockpit management. Candidates will be provided with basic profiles and information to know ahead of time. Once the simulator evaluation is satisfactorily, candidates move on to systems training and final aircraft checkout for their assigned airframe.
