Northern Jet, a premier private jet charter operator, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Challenger 604/605 Captain to join our elite team. As a Captain reporting directly to the Chief Pilot, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Challenger 604 & 605 aircraft under Part 135 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as Pilot in Command (PIC) for Challenger 604 & 605 aircraft
Comply with schedules and directives governing aircraft operations
Conduct preflight inspections
Study weather conditions and prepare flight plans
Ensure aircraft cleanliness and readiness for flight
Review and calculate weight and balance, fuel burn, and aircraft performance
Supervise and coordinate with the first officer and crew members
Make decisions regarding flight start, delay, cancellation, or deviation as needed
Maintain availability through company communication channels during duty hours
Work nonstandard schedules, including weekends and holidays
Qualifications:
Multi-Engine Land Airline Transport Pilots License (ATPL)
Current First Class medical certificate
Proficient in radiotelephony communications
Ability to pass drug, TSA background screening
Valid passport and driver’s license
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Proficiency with business software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Typed & Current in the CL-604 / CL-605
Experience:
Minimum of 3,000 total flight hours
Minimum 400 hours of jet time
Minimum 250 hours in type
Current CL-604 or CL-605 type rating
Strong commitment to customer service
Physical Demands:
Working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
