Battelle is currently seeking a Captain Pilot. This position is located in Columbus, OH. JOB SUMMARY Spends a significant portion of time piloting company aircraft ensuring the safety of the passengers at all times. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures the safe conduct of flights, in coordination with the other crew member, in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration Regulations and Battelle Policy. When dispatched as pilot-in-command, has final authority and overall responsibility for the safe conduct of the flight. Assures trip is conducted as to best serve the needs of the passengers. Provides pre- and post-flight inspection of the aircraft to ensure air worthiness. Performs aviation duties related to general activities of the department, when not engaged in flight. This includes record keeping, revisions, etc. Maintains pilot-in-command (PIC) currency in Falcon 5050EX THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED Airline Transport Pilot Certificate Valid passport The ability to obtain, at Battelle’s expense, a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type rating in the Falcon 5050EX aircraft A minimum 3500 total logged flying hours including 1500 hours logged as pilot in turbine-powered multi-engine aircraft is required LEGAL DISCLAIMER The above statements are intended to describe the nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
