PCJ is seeking an experienced Gulfstream G450 Captain to join a dedicated flight department supporting a privately managed aircraft conducting both Part 135 charter and Part 91 owner operations.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a highly experienced management team, an established operational infrastructure, and a culture focused on safety, service, and operational excellence.
PCJ supports its flight operations through a dedicated team of aviation professionals, including Flight Operations, Scheduling, Dispatch, Flight Following, Safety, and Maintenance personnel. The company maintains an in-house maintenance organization with dedicated maintenance technicians supporting its Part 135 fleet, helping ensure a high level of aircraft reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational responsiveness.
Position Summary
The Pilot-in-Command is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Gulfstream G450. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted aviation professional while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.
The aircraft is expected to operate primarily under FAA Part 135, with additional owner flights conducted under Part 91.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Flight Operations
Exercise final authority and responsibility for the safe operation of all assigned flights.
Ensure compliance with all applicable FAA regulations, company policies, and operational specifications.
Conduct thorough flight planning, risk assessment, and mission preparation.
Maintain aircraft readiness and operational efficiency.
Promote sound aeronautical decision-making and effective crew resource management.
Ensure all required manuals, publications, and aircraft records remain current and properly maintained.
Crew Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop assigned flight crew members.
Foster a positive, safety-focused, and professional operating environment.
Support training, standardization, and adherence to company procedures.
Promote professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement among flight crew members.
Operational Coordination
Coordinate closely with Scheduling, Dispatch, Maintenance Control, Safety, and Flight Operations personnel.
Participate in operational planning and aircraft availability discussions.
Assist with domestic and international trip logistics.
Maintain effective communication with company personnel, vendors, FBOs, and service providers.
Safety and Compliance
Actively support the company's Safety Management System (SMS).
Participate in safety reporting, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote a proactive and just safety culture consistent with FAA Part 5 SMS principles.
Support company programs including ASAP, FRAT, and other safety initiatives.
Maintain compliance with all company training, checking, and qualification requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Certificates and Licenses
FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
Valid passport with unrestricted international travel privileges.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Flight Experience
3,500 hours total flight time.
1,500 hours multi-engine land.
1,500 hours Pilot-in-Command.
1,500 hours turbojet.
500 hours Gulfstream GV/G450 PIC preferred.
Experience in large-cabin business aircraft strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Gulfstream GV Type Rating.
International operational experience.
Experience operating under both Part 91 and Part 135.
Experience with RVSM, CPDLC, FANS 1/A+, oceanic, and international procedures.
Previous leadership, training, or mentoring experience.

Residency
Preferred candidates will reside within approximately two hours of either:
Oakland International Airport (KOAK), or
Boeing Field (KBFI)
Qualified commuter candidates may be considered.

PCJ maintains a fully staffed Flight Following Department that assists crews with flight planning, weather support, international trip coordination, permits, handling arrangements, and hotel and ground transportation reservations. This support structure minimizes administrative burdens on flight crews and allows pilots to focus on operating the aircraft safely and professionally.
The company's dedicated maintenance organization provides direct support to flight operations and works closely with flight crews to maintain aircraft availability, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
PCJ strives to maintain schedules that provide predictability whenever operationally practical while supporting the needs of aircraft owners and charter clients.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $225,000 – $300,000 annually, depending on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and overall fit for the position.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
Must be capable of lifting and handling baggage and aircraft supplies as necessary.
Must be able to travel extensively, including international travel.
Must be able to work varying schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overnight travel.
Must be able to perform all duties required of a Gulfstream G450 Pilot-in-Command.
