Typical PIC duties include, but are not limited to: Safely piloting into towered and nontowered airfields Flight Planning (fuel planning, weather analyses, weight and balance, performance calculations, etc.) Pre-flighting Baggage loading General customer service issues SIC duties: Assist the PIC as needed Learn the aircraft and operation for eventual, and historically quick, upgrade.
