Reports To: Cabin Crew Experience and Strategic Engagement Manager
The Assistant Manager – Cabin Crew Engagement and Events is accountable for working with the Cabin Crew Experience and Strategic Engagement Manager to develop and execute crew engagement strategies, programmes and events to drive engagement across the crew community. The key focus will involve keeping crew community engaged and connected to the airline The jobholder will play a key role in driving the development and implementation of various crew engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Work with Cabin Crew Experience and Strategic Engagement Manager to develop and execute cabin crew engagement strategy and calendar of engagement activities
Responsible for all in-person and virtual events, in Hong Kong or in Outports. This includes managing the physical and technical set up for events targeting Cabin Crew or the department.
Responsible for the hire-to-retire Cabin Crew career milestones touchpoints as strategic engagement
Connect cabin crew to the company through planning and organising cabin crew engagement, such as cabin crew recognition events, roadshows and focus groups.
Plan the manpower and logistics to ensure events and new initiatives from the department are run sufficiently long enough to potentially reach nearly all of our cabin crew mobile workforce.
Regularly source new engagement partners to offer a wide variety and potentially large scale events.
Strategize in order to have regular events placed throughout the year without clashing with departmental or corporate initiatives. On occasion, align with Corporate or Flight Operations on their future engagement plans and find synergies for collaboration.
Provide day to day administrative and logistic support for all engagement activities and events. Source, plan and organize temporary resources to support such activities as needed.
Work closely with the ISD Communications team to utilise and develop all appropriate media/channels to effectively promote engagement events and create a sense of connection from the crew community with the company.
Assist with monitoring cabin crew engagement levels through various in-person or digital channels, focus groups and provide solutions to address any identified related issues.
Creative input to continually review and analyse trends to be able to continue to develop creative ways to effectively engage and stay connected with the crew community
Manage cabin crew secondee(s) on the day-to-day support on crew engagement programmes and activities.
Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned such as corporate initiatives so that they are well received by our cabin crew workforce
Deputise when required for the Cabin Crew Experience and Strategic Engagement Manager
Requirements
Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the related field (Cabin crew experience an advantage).
University degree in Communications or Marketing
Experience developing and execute employee engagement strategies.
Computer literacy of Microsoft applications and strong multimedia knowledge
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English and Chinese), proven ability to translate between Chinese and English
Social media savvy and in touch with latest technology trends
Approachable, outgoing personality and natural leader, able to network effectively and a team player, good listener and patience.
High levels of diplomacy and EQ, able to handle sensitive issues with tactfulness.
Ability to work under pressure with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
