We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Second in Command (SIC) of a CJ2+, who will also serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for our fleet of single-engine aircraft. Your Mission:
As SIC of our CJ2+ and PIC of our single-engine aircraft, you will ensure the safe, secure, and efficient operation of all assigned flights while demonstrating leadership, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
FAA Commercial Pilot License with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings
FAA Second Class Medical Certificate (must be maintained)
Flight Time:1,000 hours Total Time (Fixed Wing)
150 hours Multi-Engine Land
500 hours PIC
100 hours Night
75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument
25 hours Turbine (preferred or completion of a Turbine Transition Course)
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
23 years of age or older
Ability to travel worldwide without restrictions
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Professional appearance and adequate personal hygiene required
No facial hair (beards), to ensure proper oxygen mask seal per safety regulations
Must be drug-free and able to pass all required screenings
No history of DUI or DWI convictions
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate CJ2+ and single-engine aircraft under FAR Part 91 and Part 135
Evaluate weather conditions, routes, and safety factors before and during flights
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company policies
Maintain updated aircraft manuals, Jeppesen charts, and EFBs
Report aircraft discrepancies promptly and coordinate with maintenance
Accurately complete flight logs, trip paperwork, and end-of-day reports
Deliver exceptional customer experience and uphold Firebird Aviation values
Preferred Qualifications:
College degree not required
Strong communication and leadership skills
Project management experience
Customer-focused and team-oriented
High integrity, professionalism, and discretion
Comfortable working in fast-paced, upscale environments
Physical & Work Environment:
Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs overhead)
Requires close, distance, and color vision
Exposure to varying weather conditions, aircraft noise, fuel fumes, and vibration
Work settings include hangars, ramps, and executive terminals
