Description
Direct the development of a world class Aviation Department through the leadership and management of our aviation pilots, aircraft maintenance and operations associates, and governance of domestic and international flight operations.
1. Establish and ensure the implementation of a Corporate-wide aviation strategy, corresponding policies and standards, and safety and security guidance.
2. Implement policies and procedures to ensure that the Aviation department meets the requirements set out by Transport Canada in the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
3. Establish and execute a budget being accountable for the efficient operation of the organization and accomplishment of goals and objectives while operating within P&L guidance.
4. Provide a safe and secure transportation environment for Associates and maximum protection of company assets to include aircraft, facilities and all Associates.
5. Autonomous decision-making will be required to complete the stated divisional strategies and goals.
6. Implement, manage and review the regulatory required Safety Management System.
7. Fulfil the role of Transport Canada, Private Operator, and ‘Operations Manager’ as regulatory required.
8. Operate as an active pilot crewmember by flying the corporate aircraft, as well as manage the Canadian Aviation team directly.
Qualifications:
Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) /Canadian pilot certificate with multi-engine land ratings and English proficiency endorsement.
Valid Group 1 Instrument Rating
Type Rating as required for the type flown
Valid Category 1 medical certificate
Valid Radiotelephone operator’s restricted certificate (aeronautical)
Clear record, as per Canadian Aviation Regulations
Min. 10-year experience flying as a Captain.
Min. three years of supervisory experience with a private operator or commercial air operator whose operations and activities are of a size, nature, and complexity that correspond to the operations and activities of [redacted].
Corporate aviation experience, as an asset
