MD-87 Pilot in Command Requirements: Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial Certificate with Instrument Rating (Multiengine Land) Current First or Second Class medical Minimum 4,000 hours Total Flight Time Minimum 2,000 hours Pilot in Command (airplane) Minimum 200 hours multiengine PIC Minimum 100 hours multiengine PIC in aircraft greater than 12,500 lbs.
