General Description:
The First Officer will fly a company-owned and leased aircraft under the direction of the assigned flight Captain. This role includes assisting with flight management, and coordinating with ground personnel, maintenance, corporate staff, and flight scheduling.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections of fuel, equipment, and systems per the aircraft flight manual and applicable checklists.
Operate aircraft safely with strict adherence to all safety standards and procedures.
Monitor weather conditions and perform flight duties to ensure the safety of flight and passengers.
Anticipate issues and provide timely updates to passengers and crew during changing flight conditions, diversions, and emergencies.
Analyze flight plans and determine the safest routes prior to departure.
Maintain high crew safety standards, including adequate rest between flights.
Stay current with aircraft advancements, equipment, and industry best practices.
Cooperate and collaborate with crew, passengers, and corporate personnel.
Assist with hangar duties as directed by the Chief Pilot.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1,500 total flight hours.
500 hours minimum multi-engine time.
250 hours minimum turbine time.
100 hours in jet aircraft.
Current U.S. Second Class Medical Certificate.
FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure with keen situational awareness.
Excellent leadership and professionalism when working with the aviation team, corporate personnel, passengers, and the broader aviation community.
Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and flight manuals.
Knowledge of and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, including Federal Aviation Regulations.
