The Alerion Maintenance Team is expanding. We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Controller to join the Maintenance Team working at the West Palm Beach Office.
The Maintenance Controller plays a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance of [Company]company aircraft, under the guidance of the Director of Maintenance (DOM). The primary responsibility is to ensure the fleet’s safety, airworthiness, and compliance with approved maintenance programs and company policies. The Maintenance Controller works closely with the DOM to provide updates on maintenance activities and required paperwork related to the aircraft under their oversight.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the maintenance of [Company]aircraft, ensuring compliance with company policies, maintenance programs, and the directives of the DOM.
- Provide timely and accurate maintenance reports to the DOM or assigned personnel as needed.
- Ensure the fleet is consistently maintained to meet safety, airworthiness, and compliance standards as per approved maintenance programs and company guidelines.
- Act as a key liaison with service plan vendors (e.g., Satcom, Gogo, Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan, MSP).
- Collaborate with internal departments to address issues related to aircraft operations, quality assurance, maintenance, and scheduling.
- Review and approve vendor Return to Service (RTS) documentation, preparing comprehensive RTS packages for internal maintenance, including Airworthiness Releases.
- Review aircraft inspection requirements ahead of scheduled maintenance and actively track aircraft schedules to ensure timely maintenance.
- Work alongside the DOM to schedule both short-term and long-term maintenance events, as necessary.
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities to allow for adequate downtime, coordinating parts procurement to meet lead time requirements.
- Track and maintain the integrity of aircraft maintenance programs, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
- Review and resolve crew-reported discrepancies and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
- Schedule routine maintenance, component replacements, inspections, airworthiness directives, and service bulletins.
- Approve and train Outside Maintenance Providers (OMPs) as required, ensuring proper audits and evaluations are conducted and maintained.
- Generate work orders and oversee the completion of tasks by Outsource Maintenance Providers (OMPs), ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Supervise OMPs during maintenance tasks and ensure proper procedures for returning company aircraft to service.
- Provide technical and logistical support to Maintenance teams, OMPs, and flight crews in addressing active maintenance discrepancies, including resolution of Minimum Equipment List (MEL) items.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities on aircraft, engines, components, and appliances are performed in accordance with approved maintenance programs, manufacturer’s manuals, and relevant regulations.
- Assist in the submission of Service Difficulty and Mechanical Interruption Summary Reports in compliance with FAR 135 requirements.
- Flexible scheduling with the ability to support after-hours and on-call needs.
- Ability to travel to support fleet needs.
