Nominated Person Crew Training (NPCT)
[Company] Ltd. is seeking a Nominated Person Crew Training (NPCT) based in Malta, to lead and oversee all crew training activities in compliance with applicable aviation regulations and company standards.
This role is accountable to the Accountable Manager and is responsible for ensuring that all flight crew training is designed, delivered, and monitored in accordance with EASA requirements and internal procedures, including Operations Manual Part D.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with EASA Air Operations regulations (EU 965/2012) and all applicable training requirements
Develop, implement, and maintain crew training programs in line with Operations Manual Part D
Act as the primary liaison with the Civil Aviation Authority (Transport Malta CAD) on all training-related matters
Oversee initial, recurrent, and type-rating training programs for flight crew
Ensure that all training personnel (TRIs, TREs, instructors) meet qualification and standardization requirements
Monitor training quality, effectiveness, and regulatory compliance
Approve training syllabi, checking standards, and training providers (ATOs)
Maintain oversight of simulator training and CBT programs
Ensure proper record-keeping of all crew training activities
Support audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring activities
Promote a strong safety culture and just culture within training operations
Qualifications & Experience
Extensive experience in flight operations and/or crew training management within a commercial aviation environment
Previous experience as a TRI/TRE, Training Manager, or similar leadership role
Strong knowledge of EASA regulations, particularly Air OPS and training requirements
Experience working with Approved Training Organizations (ATOs)
Demonstrated ability to manage training programs and regulatory compliance
Familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and compliance processes
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with regulatory authorities
