General Summary The experimental Test Pilot is responsible for planning, conduct, and reporting of development and certification flight test activities on Honda Aircraft Company products. They have an in-depth technical knowledge of flight test techniques and experience in aircraft certification documents and processes. Provides design input to the engineering team. Duties and Responsibilities Write and/ or review development or certification test plans and reports for assigned flight tests. Participate in test readiness meetings. Participate in the planning, coordination, and short-term scheduling of tests to be performed on assigned test aircraft. Coordinate with flight test engineers as required ensuring the aircraft is configured properly to meet test objectives. Plan and conduct development and certification flight test activities on assigned airplane. Prepare and distribute flight reports after each assigned test flight. Perform FAA evaluation flights. Identify and report customer and certification issues to Program Management. Support Honda Aircraft production flight test and corporate flight activities on as-needed basis.
