Oversees Flight Operations ensuring aircraft are operated to the highest level of safety and that all crew members always maintain professional standards.

Leads, manages, and directs pilots, Base Chief Pilots, and Instructors to ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, professionalism, and quality of Flight Operations.
Aids or counseling as appropriate to ensure the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of Flight Operations.
Coordinates with the Managing Director/Director of Operations to establish and adhere to appropriate training standards and scheduling.
Assists in the development and maintenance of Republic’s policies, procedures, and other publications.
Ensures that all company pilots conform to standards as outlined in the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and perform to the level of standards outlined by the Company’s training program.
Investigates incidents and provides corrective action, if necessary, to crew members failing to perform to standards.
Perform the duties of the Director of Training when that position is vacant.
Supervise, train, and provide guidance for all company Check Airmen. Conduct quarterly Check Airman meetings.
Collect and track pilot check ride results, analyze pilot performance, and make performance recommendations to the Training department.
Responsible for the regulatory compliance and certification of all training, checking, contract and in house training programs.
Provides leadership and mentorship guidance for the SIC PDP, Pilot Development Program.
Provides leadership and collaboration with other departments to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policy and procedures.
Knowledgeable of the contents of all manuals associated with Flight Operations.
Acts as a liaison with the FAA regarding infractions or regulatory issues.
Collaborates with Brickyard’s partners and individual station management team to identify challenges and promote operational success.
Promotes an environment focusing on Pilot professional development, while fostering the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.
Screens, interviews, and makes recommendations for hiring potential employees, as required.
Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of Pilots and Base Chief Pilots.
Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions, and oversees training and development of Base Chief Pilots.
Performs special projects or other duties as assigned or required.
Acts as Manager on Duty, as required.
Acts as Director of Operations in the absence of the Managing Director/Director of Operations.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
To serve as Chief Pilot under
119.69(a) for the certificate holder, the Chief Pilot must hold an ATP – Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. The Chief Pilot must be qualified or qualify to serve as pilot in command in at least one aircraft used in the certificate holder's operation. In addition, the Chief Pilot must:
In the case of a person becoming a Chief Pilot for the first time ever, have at least 3-years experience, within the past 6 years, as pilot in command of an aircraft operated under part 121 or part 135 of this chapter.
In the case of a person with previous experience as a Chief Pilot, have at least 3-years experience as pilot in command of an aircraft operated under part 121 or part 135 of this chapter.
PREFERRED EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Previous part 135 experience
Experience as a check airman or flight instructor.
REGULATORY
Able to pass an FAA required 10-year work history review and criminal background and fingerprint checks.
Possess and maintain a valid US passport or foreign passport.
Authorized by law to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
Willing to submit to and able to pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, crew, passengers, and the general public.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists.
