[Company] is seeking a dedicated and qualified Second in Command (SIC) to join our flight crew. The SIC will support the Pilot in Command (PIC) in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Requirements & Experience
Total Flight Time: Minimum of 2,000 hours of total flight time.
Multi-Engine Experience: Minimum of 500 hours operating a multi-engine aircraft.
Pilot Certificate: Must hold a valid FAA Commercial certificate with instrument and multi-engine rating.
Medical Certificate: Must hold a valid FAA Second Class Medical certificate.
Radio Operators Permit: Must hold a valid FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
Education: Associate degree preferred but not required.
Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge and adherence to FAA regulations and [Company]’s operational policies.
International Experience: Experience flying internationally and familiarity with international flight operations, including knowledge of international regulations and procedures.
Legal Right to Work: Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Ability Travel Internationally: Must possess a valid passport and have the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
Flexibility: Must be able to work varying hours including day and night; weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Must be extremely flexible and have the ability to adjust to rapid changes.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with passengers and crew.
Language: Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
Safety Orientation: Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
Decision Making: Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions under pressure and in varying operational conditions.
Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, including coordination with flight attendants, ground crew, and maintenance personnel.
Customer Service: Focus on providing exceptional customer service to high-profile passengers and executives.
Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing professional development and training to maintain currency with industry standards and best practices.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the use of aviation technology and navigation systems relevant to [Company]’s aircraft.
Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues that may arise during [Company] flights.
