Job Summary

The Director of Safety is responsible for developing, implementing, leading and managing the company SMS, ASAP, ERP, and FOQA programs (Part 135).

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the company’s Safety Management System (SMS), including appointing members of the Safety Review Board, and generating SMS related audits and reports;
• Oversee the company ASAP program and lead the ASAP ERC;
• Company-wide safety promotion, ensuring employees in all departments remain actively engaged with the SMS;
• Develop and update company Safety/Risk Profile and Safety Performance Indicators;
• Lead internal and external safety audits;
• Conduct risk assessments, develop and implement mitigation measures when applicable;
• Conduct management of change evaluations;
• Monitor and develop responses to identified SMS, ASAP, and FOQA safety trends;
• Liaison with Flight Operations and Maintenance management personnel to determine risk mitigation and corrective actions;
