This summer will mark the 4th year that we will open our doors to an up and coming aviation professional with the goal of exposing them to "the other side of aviation" (or in other words, not flying for an airline).
If you know of a self-motivated, enthusiastic young person in a formal aeronautical undergraduate program, please feel free to pass this opportunity along!
The selected intern will get to come to DC for three weeks (Dates TBD, but likely first three weeks of June). They will get a full behind-the-scenes look at how a corporate flight department runs. They will travel with us, observe flight operations in the jumpseat of our Gulfstream G550, have hands on opportunities with our aircraft, assist with special projects, job shadow all aspects of our operation, and more! This is a PAID internship opportunity.
The application window is open now, and interviews will likely be held in February.
Get ready for some real-world experience! BAE Systems is offering a temporary position as a short-term intern for our FAR Part 91 corporate aviation department located at Washington-Dulles International Airport (KIAD – Dulles, Virginia). Our department consists of a team of professionals committed to providing the highest level of service and safety while operating BAE corporate aircraft in domestic and international operations.
The flight department intern will spend 3-weeks in a “full-immersion” environment, gaining first-hand knowledge of corporate aircraft operations and management. The intern will participate in job shadowing across all disciplines including flight crew, dispatch/scheduling, maintenance, safety, cabin safety, and regulatory compliance.
