Chief Pilot — King Air 90 / 200

Salary: $105,000–$140,000 annually
FlyHire is recruiting a Chief Pilot for a charter operator based in Pierre, South Dakota. This position combines active flying with operational leadership and an opportunity to help develop the charter department.
Responsibilities
• Fly King Air 90 and 200 charter missions.
• Perform approximately 5–10 hours of chief-pilot administrative duties weekly, in addition to flying.
• Support safe operations, pilot coordination, and a collaborative team culture.
• Be available for occasional short-notice charters.
• Provide flight instruction or occasional Caravan coverage when appropriately qualified and needed.
Qualifications
• Commercial pilot certificate with instrument and multi-engine qualifications; additional certificates and experience as required for the operation’s Chief Pilot position.
• At least three years of Part 135 or Part 121 experience, including the qualifying experience required for Chief Pilot eligibility.
• Meaningful King Air experience, with approximately 200 hours identified as the initial screening benchmark.
• Ability to be based in Pierre, South Dakota.
• Sound judgment, initiative, and a supportive leadership approach.
Previous leadership experience, flight instructor qualifications, and Caravan experience are advantageous.
Compensation and benefits
• Annual salary of $105,000–$140,000.
