This summary provides a listing of the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are critical components of the position of 800XP Hawker Captain.
Purpose of Position
[Company] is seeking qualified candidates for our corporate Hawker 800XP aircraft based in Miami, FL. The aircraft will be operated under 14 CFR Part 91, flying approximately 360 hours per year. The flight department will consist of a 1 PIC, 1 SIC, and a dedicated maintenance technician, with an additional part-time pilot contractor to support scheduling and time off.
The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds the final responsibility to ensure the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC complies with all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience.
Good communication skills are required. You must be able to exhibit and help instill the values and culture of the company while working with other team members and customers in a fast-paced/dynamic environment.
The aircraft will be operated weekly between KMCI, KMIA, and KATL, therefore we are flexible about where the crew will be based. We have various rotating scheduling; (10 on 10 off, 8 on 6 off, etc) but are seeking applicants who are able to work flexible schedules and are willing and able to travel worldwide extensively, without any restrictions
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft.
2. Responsible for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with, but not limited to the following items:
Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft.
The conduct of a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
A complete check of weather and facilities along the route to be flown and airports to be used, including alternate airports.
Ensure the flight is conducted in accordance with the policies and procedures of [Company] and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
Ensure the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew.
Accurate completion of all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with HS-125 Type Rating
Must have completed Simulator Training within the last 24 months (CAE or Flight Safety)
Obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical
2500 hours Total Fixed Wing
1500 hours Turbojet
1000 hours Multi-Engine Land
1000 hours Pilot-in-Command
250 hours in Type (Hawker 800XP)
Must possess a valid passport;
Must have a valid driver's license
Pass drug and alcohol background checks, pre-employment DOT drug tests, and criminal history records check (CHRC)
