Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager Charter Sales, Asia Pacific, will support the Director Charter Sales, Asia Pacific in executing charter sales strategies across the region. This role involves managing customer relationships, coordinating operational and commercial activities, and driving revenue growth through proactive sales efforts. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless charter operations and customer satisfaction.
Major Job Accountabilities:
Sales & Customer Engagement
Support charter sales initiatives for both long-term and short-term customers across Asia Pacific.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with charter customers, freight forwarders, and airline partners, etc.
Respond to charter requests and inquiries promptly, ensuring accurate logging in Salesforce.
Assist in identifying new business opportunities and presenting them to the APAC Sales Management Team.
Coordinate customer briefings and presentations as required.
Operational Coordination
Liaise with Customer Service, Operations, Finance, Regulatory teams and all other relevant teams to ensure smooth execution of charter flights.
Support daily-flight activities, including permitting and regulatory approvals.
Monitor customer performance and provide actionable insights to optimize outcomes.
Commercial & Financial Support
Assist in pricing strategies, market development, and forecasting.
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment tracking in coordination with the Finance team.
Support the coordination of bill-back items for ad hoc or irregular operations.
Reporting & Compliance
Collect and analyze market intelligence for strategic planning.
Maintain organized customer and flight files, including charter checklists and special shipment records.
Ensure compliance with regional regulatory bodies, including CCAR129 in China.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Aviation, Logistics, or related field.
Minimum of 8 years airline experience, preferably in cargo, charter, or ACMI operations.
Proven experience in sales, customer service, and account management within the Asia Pacific region.
Strong understanding of freighter operations and network planning.
Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English; Chinese language proficiency is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Salesforce experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
Ability to manage multiple assignments under time constraints.
Willingness to travel as required.
