Job Posting: Director Operations

The primary responsibility of the position is to administer company policies and procedures to ensure all flights are conducted to meet all applicable legal requirements and maintain safe and secure operations with the highest regard for safety and quality of service. The successful candidate will hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate and have significant experience as a Pilot in Command of turbine jet aircraft. This position will oversee operations for a fleet of Citation CJs and a XLS Plus, managing Part 135 Charter, Organ Flights, and Government Contracts.
Essential Duties:
* Direct the overall development and management of the Flight Operations Department, including applicable policies and procedures.
* Coordinate all departments to ensure a smoothly functioning operation.
* Responsible for the dissemination of safety and security-critical operational information.
* Actively support the company's Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with FAA guidelines.
* Serve as the primary liaison between the company and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Inspector.
* Serve as the primary liaison between the company and flight department personnel.
* Ensure flight scheduling, dispatch, and customer service requests are coordinated with aircraft maintenance requirements.
* Establish specifications and quality standards; contribute to safety, security, reliability, and economy by developing capable personnel, effective tools, and procedures.
* Serve as a member of the Operations Standards Board.
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
* Hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
* Three (3) years of recent experience as Pilot in Command of turbine jet aircraft.
* Full understanding of Part 135 operations, SMS, and Security Management requirements.
* Full understanding of aviation standards and safe operating practices.
Full knowledge and understanding of all appropriate maintenance and airworthiness requirements per *14 CFR Part 135, 91, and 43**.
* Experience managing mixed fleet operations (Light/Medium Jets) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Five (5) years in an aviation leadership or management role.
* Experience with Organ Flight and Government Contract operations.
Work Environment:
Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment. Some travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.
