Seeking a qualified and knowledgeable Director of Operations (DO).
Private Company operates under FAR PARTS 91 & 135. The Director of Operations will oversee all aspects related to flight operations including but not limited to aircraft maintenance, safety management system, crew qualifications and training, flight dispatch, and all regulatory systems for Part 91 and 135 operations.
This is a flying director of operations role, which will require the roles and duties of what a director of operations would entail, but also serving as a pilot if need be.
Duties include:
• Organize and direct all aspects of the operations department, including assisting in the development and/or administration of policies, department goals and objectives.
• Obtain required Letters of Authorization (LOA), Operations Specifications (OpSpecs).
• Maintain / update all required manuals / documents, and disseminate various handbooks, manuals and publications consistent with flight operations (e.g. GOM, OpSpecs, SMS, etc. required for operations under regulating authorities to include but not limited to; FAA, EASA, UK, ICAO, DHS/TSA, DOT, ETS, etc.)
• Perform required regulatory and internal audits to successful conclusion.
• This is a full time, long term position for the right individual. Full benefits package with 401k plan.

Required Qualifications
• Previous experience sufficient to comply with the 14 CFR 119.71 and qualify for FAA Part 135 Director of Operations
• Prior/Current FAA Part 135 Management Experience • Have a working knowledge / experience required for a global operation as well as ability to operate under an approved and in-depth SMS program.
• First class medical certificate
• ATP
• 3,000 hours – total airplane
• 1,000 hours – total turbine
