MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
Must have documented a minimum of four thousand hours of flight time of which three thousand hours must be pilot-in-command. Two thousand hours of multi-engine time of which one thousand hours must be pilot-in-command.
Must possess a current commercial pilot certificate with single and multi-engine class with instrument rating issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Must possess a current second-class medical certificate issued under Part 67 of the Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
Experience in the supervision of employees preferred.
Qualified as a Captain of a Beechcraft King Air B-200 preferred.
Successful completion of pilot training program of Beechcraft King Air B200 within the last twelve months preferred.
Airplane Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate preferred.
Must maintain valid certifications for continued employment in position.
B. Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of principles of aircraft operation and maintenance, navigation, and instrument flight equipment.
Knowledge of advanced first aid and all phases of rescue operations
Knowledge of agency and departmental organizational structure, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations preferred.
Skill in the operation of aircraft radio, navigation devices, instrument flight equipment, and other aircraft equipment.
Skill to analyze weather data, make flight plans, pilot aircraft in adverse weather, and maintain aircraft and other equipment.
Skill to prepare and maintain accurate records, files, and reports.
Skill to evaluate aircraft mechanical problems.
Skill to prepare technical operational reports.
Skill to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
Skill to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public.
Skill in problem-solving techniques.
Skill to supervise the work of others.
