The Senior Manager of Inflight Training & Standards is responsible for overseeing both the Inflight Training & Standards Departments. This includes reviewing and enhancing Initial New Hire, Recurrent Flight Attendant training programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving the development of policies and procedural changes to maintain high operational standards. The role also involves managing the implementation of training initiatives, monitoring performance, and continuously improving training methods with internal stakeholders to align with industry’s best practices.
Oversee a Team of Inflight Managers including Inflight Training Manager and Inflight Policy & Procedures Manager
Oversee changes and updates to Inflight Training policies and procedures by being a sound decision-maker producing positive results
Direct all aspects of developing and implementing effective learning programs, flight attendant policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with internal initiatives
Implements vision and goals for all aspects of learning design, compliance, eLearning development, and ongoing implementation of technology-based solutions
Collaborates with the other Breeze leaders to ensure consistency among training programs, processes, policies and procedures, and ensures that these support regulatory requirements and corporate goals
Oversee the Inflight training & Standards budget, organization charts, and project costs
Responsible for creation of e-learning (CBT) as needed for company projects and coordinate with Supervisor Inflight Development & Records Specialists for qualification created for Company initiatives
Develop Courseware in line with company and manual changes, coordinating change with Supervisor Inflight Development
Ensure Regulatory Compliance related to Inflight Department
Collaborate with the Manager Inflight Training to draft the FATM and implement necessary updates
Oversee the draft of the FAM including all temporary revisions and informational
Lead safety debriefs to determine opportunities for continuous
Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence
Minimum Qualifications
4-year degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or equivalent field, equivalent experience
2+ years’ experience in progressive leadership leading large, diverse teams
3+ years’ experience as a Flight Attendant
2+ years’ experience in an Inflight Training Leadership Role
Experience in adult learning methodologies, professional development, instructional design, and curriculum development
Knowledge and strong understanding of FAA regulations, particularly Part 121 Inflight, FARs and FAA guidance
Ability to attend, pass, and maintain Breeze Flight Attendant training
Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%)
Must possess a valid passport or the ability to obtain one
Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
Must pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the different airline disciplines and administration, including the interdependencies between Inflight Training and Standards.
Knowledge of external agencies and their function as it relates to Inflight Operations (i.e. FAA, DOT, TSA)
