Flight Instructor, Part 135
We are looking to hire well qualified pilots into the Part 135 training department as a Hyannis, MA based, full time Air Transport Flight Instructor (ATFI). Pay will be in accordance with the pilot CBA.
Summary
An ATFI will work on an as-needed basis decided by the Director of Flight Training to conduct ground, simulator, and flight instruction for company pilots. The ATFI must demonstrate to an FAA inspector or Company check pilot initially and at least every two years the ability to conduct flight training from left and right pilot seats. The ATFI will complete [Company] initial ground school and aircraft specific flight training and 135.293, 135.297 checks. Annual recurrent training and checking is required to maintain ATFI qualifications.
Primary Responsibilities
Enthusiastically conduct ground, simulator, and flight instruction of company pilots in-accordance-with the [Company] flight training manual.
Review any trainee deficiencies and offer solutions
Complete all required paperwork and training department communications about trainees
Assist the Director of Flight Training in other duties as needed
Conduct initial, recurrent training, upgrade and requalification pilot training as necessary for the Cessna 402
Maintain currency in all applicable [Company] PIC flight crew training and qualification requirements
Represent the [Company] spirit of providing Safe, Courteous, Professional, and On-Time air service
Qualifications
Airplane multi-engine land ATP certificate or Multi-Engine-Instrument Rated Commercial certificate
Hold a current 1st, 2nd, or 3rd class medical certificate (NA for simulator only instructors)
CFI or have passed the FOI (preferred)
Highly knowledgeable in FARs, company operating manuals, OpSpecs, and aircraft systems
Meet training and currency requirements to serve as PIC
Be comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite of products
illing and able to perform administration duties as necessary
