The Pilot - Captain is responsible for safely operating aircraft for Coca-Cola UNITED.
Manage time-off requests, in partnership with the Chief Pilot, for Aviation department
Pilots airplanes, in collaboration with the Chief Pilot
Determines flight routes based on scheduling requirements and weather patterns
Ensures aircraft is appropriately maintained and prepared for flight prior to departure
Maintains logs and reports as required
Maintains navigation manuals and charts
Ensures the comfort and safety of passengers
Assumes the responsibility of the Chief Pilot if necessary
Be familiar with the operating limitations and performance of the aircraft being flown
Ensures they are legally licensed, medically fit and adequately rested
Performs preflight and post-flight inspections
Minimum age 18 years old
Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 2 to 4 years of experience preferred
Airline transport certificate and first-class medical certificate required
Pilot’s License required
Compliance with FAA regulations required
Ability to multi-task
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Frequent exposure to noise
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
