Summary/Objective
[Company] LLC. is hiring for a Pipeline Patrol Pilot that will fly a Cessna 172RG to complete commercial inspection and mapping flights. They will be responsible for safely flying low-altitude flight plans to capture inspection data and imagery, as per project specifications. Operates fixed-wing airplanes, with specified payloads, such as RGB cameras, LiDAR sensors, and/or other project-specific sensors for aerial survey based in Plainview, TX (KPVW). Additional duties include creating reports, interacting in a professional manner with customers, management and maintenance personnel. The successful candidate must also be a resolute worker, and flexible with what days and routes are flown to accommodate weather and maintenance schedule changes including weekends.
Essential Functions
Must be safety oriented, have impeccable flight skills as well as a high level of situational awareness.
Safely operate all aircraft within Legacy, FAA, and customer policies.
Follows all FAA regulations for operating commercial aircraft.
Coordinates with Air Traffic Control agencies, as required, for missions within areas of restricted and controlled airspace.
Aircraft Navigation to and from project locations, and positioning for project flight lines.
Coordinating mission requirements, pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight with the aircraft and sensor system.
Flight preparation, to include checks of weather, NOTAMS, TFRs COAs, publications, project documents, and aircraft weight and balance.
Completes all flight missions within the required timeline.
Utilizes flight planning software to complete flight missions.
Operates aircraft according to project specifications, such as altitude, sensors used, image overlap, etc.
Follows Project Coordinator specifications for uploading captured data.
Ensure all equipment is stored and transported safely.
Manages aircraft maintenance requirements in direct coordination with Director of GA Maintenance and the Chief Pilot or designee.
Assist Sensor Operator in safe and accurate data collection, per project specifications.
Manage flight operation and safety documentation.

Required Education and Experience
Meet the minimum requirements of 500 Hrs PIC, 50 Hrs Complex/Retractable, and 25 Hrs in a Cessna 172.
Experience using GPS guidance systems is a plus.
Work away from home base until the project is completed
Days flown based on weather, route required and maintenance
All flights will be executed during Day VFR conditions.
Must be within a maximum one-hour commute of Plainview, TX.
High School Diploma
FAA Commercial Pilot License
FAA CFI Preferred
Current 2nd Class Medical
Experience with operating aircraft at or near 500’ AGL
Valid Class C State Driver’s License
Must be willing to travel for work
Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office

Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour
