The Scheduler Dispatcher, Sr. works under the guidance of the Sr. Director, Corporate Aviation for the scheduling and planning of flights on aircraft operated by Qualcomm Aviation. S/he monitors the day-to-day operations of all owned and operated company aircraft and participates in the planning for future business aviation flights conducted by the company. The Scheduler Dispatcher, Sr. fosters and maintains excellent relationships with all Qualcomm support functions, executive offices and external industry and vendor partners.
Essential Roles, Responsibilities & Accountabilities
The Scheduler Dispatcher, Sr. receives approved flight requests for business aviation air travel from the executive travelers or their executive administrative assistants (Admins).
The Scheduler Dispatcher, Sr. focuses upon the efficient utilization of company aircraft and flight crews. S/he participates in flight operations planning and execution to ensure that all flights are planned to be operating within company policy and all applicable FAA and ICAO regulations. The Scheduler Dispatcher, Sr. supports Qualcomm Aviation’s end-to-end executive traveler satisfaction objectives, which are designed to deliver a consistently superior executive travel experience.
The Scheduler Dispatcher, Sr. interfaces most directly with other Scheduler Dispatcher, Sr., the Sr. Director, Corporate Aviation, the Trip Captain and the Flight Attendant. On a regular basis, s/he will work directly with the Business Process Analysts, Chief Pilot, Director, Aircraft Maintenance, Cabin Safety & Services Manager, and the Sr. Director, Corporate Aviation to ensure trip execution and focus consistent with the Vision and Mission of the department.
Specific Roles, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Functional Responsibilities
Conducts day-to-day job responsibilities in accordance with company policy, applicable regulatory requirements and the department’s FOM;
Capable of working any shift, including weekends and holidays;
Capable of providing 24-hour phone coverage on a rotating basis, as required.
Schedules company-owned and operated aircraft in a strategic, effective and efficient way in compliance with all applicable regulations (including FAA, ICAO, EU, TSA, SEC, IRS, CBP, etc.);
Monitors day-to-day operations of company-owned and operated aircraft to ensure that executive traveler requirements are met;
Participates as required in pre-flight briefings, trip contingency planning and post-flight trip reporting, including trip log sheets, debrief sheets, and trip cost reporting (fuel, catering, handling, other expenses incurred on-the-road);
Participates in the trip planning process and interfaces with Qualcomm’s senior executive travelers as well as their Admins;
Schedules company flight crews in accordance with applicable regulations and the department’s FOM;
Supports the Scheduler Dispatcher, Sr. in complying with the aircraft scheduling, conflict resolution, trip classification, and reporting requirements as outlined in Qualcomm’s Executive Travel – Aircraft Use Policy.
Interfaces with the Chief Pilot, Cabin Safety & Services Manager, and Sr. Director, Aviation as appropriate to ensure optimal aircraft and crew utilization.
Ensures compilation of required flight information and records to ensure accuracy of flight operations reporting;
Complies with company policy on the use of charter and supplemental lift providers;
Supports the Scheduler Dispatcher, Sr. in ensuring that the tracking of flight hours is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintains contact with internal and external security sources to provide information on flight risk/security and threat levels concerning upcoming and scheduled trips.
Reports performance of flight crews as conveyed by executive passengers or their EAs to ensure the delivery of a consistently superior customer experience.
Provides trip information as appropriate to the Business Process Analyst to ensure compliance with IRS procedures governing corporate aviation and its use by executives, which directly impacts executive reported income and tax liabilities.
Participates in the evaluation of outside contract agencies (including FBO’s, trip planning, handling) to ensure that adequate facilities, personnel and experience are available to perform the required service functions;

Assists the assessment of executive traveler demand on company-owned and operated aviation resources;
Education & Licenses
Education: Bachelor’s degree desirable; Associate degree or equivalent experience in corporate aviation scheduling and dispatch, business administration or information technology required.
Licenses: FAA Dispatch License (ADX) preferred.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
Required Attributes
Working knowledge of FAA FAR Part 91and ICAO operations;
Familiarity with the Qualcomm Aviation’s FOM and SOPs;
Excellent interpersonal people skills with particular focus upon senior executive interface;
Ability to effectively communicate and partner with flight, cabin crew members and maintenance personnel.
Broad technical knowledge of computerized scheduling platforms, administration and technology applications;
Excellent project management skills required, as well as the ability to oversee a group of complex and diverse functions;
Advanced verbal and written communication skills;
Familiarity with applicable FAA and ICAO regulations and SEC- related “Personal Use” reporting requirements.
Ability to solve complex problems with multiple potential outcomes impacting critical senior management business schedules in a real-time, high pressure work environment;
